Day 10 – Wow has it been 10 days already?

Accelerated Wing Chun Module 2-3: Power Palm

Time sure flies when you’re training wing chun, lol!

Today’s lesson is about the power palm.

I confess, this technique is only 10% wing chun.

The rest is based on boxing body mechanics and krav maga application.

Unfortunately, for beginners, wing chun doesn’t have a move that can be easily trained to have “knock-out” power. By all means, if you train for 1 or 2 years you may be able to develop that kind of power with traditional wing chun techniques, but it’s difficult to say the least.

That’s why I incorporated the power palm, because it only takes 1-3 weeks to develop enough power with this technique to have “knock-out” power. And even a beginner can do it.

The reason is because it uses more natural body mechanics that your body is already used to using.

We all need at least 1 hand attack that can end a fight, and the power palm could be the one for you.

One of the goals of the Accelerated Wing Chun program is to equip you with the tools you can use immediately to defend yourself if you were attacked tonight… not 1-2 years down the road.
